Denim Fever- 90's chic

I discovered this brand called Liquor & Poker on ASOS recently (where I usually discover all new brands) and oh my god I am in love with everything on their website- go check it out. This dungaree went down a treat, it fits like a glove and its suuuuper comfy! I've been working with some exciting brands recently so I can't wait to share the content with you guys, Dorothy Perkins being one of them! (see blog post here). The embroidery on this dungaree really pops on camera but it does in real life too, everything is really affordable on their website too which I love! The days are getting longer and I can feel Summer itching to creep up on us- I can't wait!

This month, I had the absolute pleasure of collaborating with one of my favourite brands, Free People. If you have been following my blog for a while, you will know how much I love Free People.  The whole morning was very special and will be something I will remember for a long time! I met Amanda on a cold crisp Saturday morning in Chelsea not too far from where I live, before the crowds settled in.

We discovered a beautiful court yard where the trees were bursting with reds, oranges and golds oozing with Autumn. The leaves formed a crisp blanket across the courtyard under our feet, it was perfect. I usually shoot on a weekly basis with my best friend, soul mate and flat mate Iona so I am usually very comfortable in front of the camera. However, shooting for the first time with a professional photographer I had never met before was simply terrifying, but like everyone I have met that work for Free People, Amanda was such a lovely soul and she made me feel extremely comfortable in front of the camera! We shot four looks in total keep following to see more of of my FP shoot!

Be Free

Be free, I dedicate this post to Free People. Free People as mentioned previously in other posts is honestly a brand close to my heart, if I could I would shop on it all day. I love the clothes, how they market themselves and the models they use for their studio/photo shoots. I really am a firm believer that each brand has its own personality, and Free People is definitely one of them. This Jumpsuit I bought a few months ago, but its still in stock (please see link below).

Its really comfy and looks great on, we shot this look in South Kensington where the beautiful white buildings really made the colour of this jumpsuit stand out. I could wear this outfit day or night and it looks amazing in heels or flats.

Toying With Tassels

Happy Bank Holiday! So I've wanted to blog a playsuit for quiet some time now, I was browsing ASOS for a bank holiday outfit and came across this beautiful 'Vintage look' playsuit, its actually ASOS own buy but I fell head over heels for it and purchased it in seconds. This was by far the most fun outfit I've shot to date, the movement of the tassels captured really well on camera. I paired this playsuit with my Topshop suede biker boot, which kept selling out and I waited for weeks checking every day for them to come back into stock! But I finally I managed to get hold of a pair. You can also dress this up with heels, like I did for my bank holiday night out, the outfit is extremely versatile which is why I love it so much. The deep V neck line is obviously my favourite part of the playsuit, with long sleeves its fairly covered up so I think it needs that plunge to really make the playsuit pop.  I hope your day off is as glorious and as sunny as mine is!

Happy blogging,

Love A x

Flash Me Your Flares

Happy Bank Holiday weekend guys! I always just assume its going to be sunny in London on a bank holiday, never the less, let the drinking commence! but firstly... Zara- probably my favourite retailer this year to date, they have really done their homework with the SS15 catwalks, well done Zara.. you get a gold star and a jelly baby. I walked into the Bond Street flagship store to find a sea of suede, tassels, creams, whites, textures, coords and many other beautiful pieces. Without realising it the whole outfit was shot head to toe in Zara clothing, Keano.
Flares are practically their own trend this season, they are extremely flattering if your tall but don't seem to work if your not that blessed with height. I have 3 pairs now and intend on growing my small collection in my wardrobe. Zara came up with the idea of making one of their patterned flares into a coord (risky business) but in fact the top and the trousers marry each other very well. I had a lot of fun shooting this outfit, we found an adorable court yard in Chelsea, where we decided to shoot. The beautiful suede tasseled jacket I bought from Zara over christmas, its perfect for spring the suede is fairly thin so its not over bearing when you wear it on a hot spring day. Have a good weekend, next post will be up on Monday see you then!

Happy blogging x

Vintage Fair- Chelsea

On Sunday 26.04.15 I came across an app called 'Elite' on my iPhone, the app has different cool events around London for you to choose from, I clicked on the Fashion tab and discovered that there was a fair on at Chelsea Town Hall right by where I live, I didn't have very high expectations but I was pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful building inside filled with old vintage classics up to 100 years old.
The building was incredible, it was build between 1906 and 1908 and was really quiet something. As soon as you stepped through the door you felt like you had stepped back in time. I've been vintage shopping plenty of times (Portobello Market, Brick Lane etc) but this fair really  blew me out the water.. people travelled from as far as Paris to come and display there stall of one of a kind Vintage goods. I came across a Parisian man who only collected Yves St Laurent vintage goods, his stall was dangerous, I could of bought every piece of clothing especially the belts. I spent hours rummaging, I even came across a 1920's embellished dress in a gorgeous purple colour, it was valued at £450 to my dismay. I walked away with two things, a 1980's embellished halter top, perfect for festivals this summer and had exquisite beading on, and a bag from Autumn Winter 1930!
