Going Green- My Journey

So my new years resolution was not just to attempt 'dry Jan' (and fail) but to actually implement a fitness and health regime into my current lifestyle.

I often find if you make drastic lifestyle changes you end of relapsing after two weeks because your body is not use to it- ever gone on a health kick and made yourself go to the gym every day for a week?

Didn't last long did it dear...

There were certain activities I decided to take up in the new year, such as yoga on a regular basis, cycling to work and just generally eating better. These were just some gental nudges I created for myself that steered me in the right direction to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Ever heard the saying 'less is more'? In this instance it worked, I had more energy and drive to actually WANT to carry myself to the gym, after two weeks my body craved the feeling of being 'worked out' and I felt amazing.

So my biggest tip to get on that fitness bandwagon is ..baby steps! Select a few things you enjoy doing and slowly slot them into your routine.

I'd love to know how you all get on! So shoot me an email one time lefashionfetish@hotmail.com

Wishful Thinking..NYE

Photography www.ionamacleod.com

Wow, what an amazing year it has been! This year has been full of challenges for me, there have been extreme highs which came with extreme lows, its probably been the year I have learnt the most about myself. After a year of neglecting my blog due to work commitments in 2013 I picked up where I left off this year and to be honest its been the best thing I ever did, this blog brings me so much joy, the shoots, the relationships I have made, the places I've visited and most importantly it's brought me and my photographer/best friend Iona closer than ever. A friend once told me that a blog is like a plant the more light, love and water you give it the more it flourishes, and it's so true!

I have a lot of fun things planned for 2016 so keep following me to see, I am also very excited to announce that I will be 'vlogging' in the new year (so keep your eyes peeled for that!).  Click the link below to read the full Free People blog post and find out what my NYE traditions are.

Keeping It Caj

Photography www.ionamacleod.com

Shop the look;
Jeans- Aeterna Style
Jumper- H&M
Shoes- ASOS (Similar Here)

Last Sunday me and Iona ventured out to see Big Ben. Discovering new locations to shoot on is one of my main focuses at the moment, I love spending a whole day shooting/exploring to try make the shoot as productive as possible. As well as exploring London I get to share it with Iona and we always have a laugh.  This week I discovered a brand called Aeterna Style they do some beautiful pieces so make sure to check out their website. The distressed jeans have a stunning embellished patch on the right pocket which really adds that bohemian touch to them so of course I had to have them. The Jumper is an over sized fringed number from H&M (which is finally on the website now and a total bargain for those of your seeking a cheap Winter must have). I like to roll the sleeves back on my jumpers and I always buy a size 2 sizes to big for me, because what is a jumper without a slouch? The bag is from Free People (I know, I'm border line obsessed with them) and has now become my go to hand bag, even though its quiet a statement bag it surprisingly goes with everything, they do loads of different shades so be sure to click the outfit link to check them out!

The Jumper You Need This Season

Photography www.amandajulca.com

Wearing all Free People

There are a few key staples I need this season..however this heavy knit jumper from Free People has been fast tracked to the top of my list. I feel like Winter has sprung on me so quick that I now have gaps in my wardrobe, and who likes gaps? eh? I hate Winter clothes shopping, I find it easy to create outfits in my mind but when I go shopping the clothes never seem to live up to my expectations.  Jumper shopping, for a start, is a whole different world now a days. There are SO many different types, roll neck, long sleeve, sleeveless, cable, turtle neck, cashmere, wool, jumper dresses- no wonder we are indecisive as woman when it comes down to Fashion look how many DAM options there are! My advise would be to try go into stores and try jumpers on before you buy them, it's true what they say 'try before you buy'! Keep a look out for my upcoming post about 5 wardrobe investments for this season to see if you have any gaps in your wardrobe you need to fill!

This month, I had the absolute pleasure of collaborating with one of my favourite brands, Free People. If you have been following my blog for a while, you will know how much I love Free People.  The whole morning was very special and will be something I will remember for a long time! I met Amanda on a cold crisp Saturday morning in Chelsea not too far from where I live, before the crowds settled in.

We discovered a beautiful court yard where the trees were bursting with reds, oranges and golds oozing with Autumn. The leaves formed a crisp blanket across the courtyard under our feet, it was perfect. I usually shoot on a weekly basis with my best friend, soul mate and flat mate Iona so I am usually very comfortable in front of the camera. However, shooting for the first time with a professional photographer I had never met before was simply terrifying, but like everyone I have met that work for Free People, Amanda was such a lovely soul and she made me feel extremely comfortable in front of the camera! We shot four looks in total keep following to see more of of my FP shoot!
