Hey guys, sorry for the lack of posts recently, the last few weeks have been a little hectic! I found this goooooooorgg dress on ASOS, it's slightly too cold to wear it just yet, but at least we know ASOS have some good Summer attire for us to divulge in this season right?

 I know you might think I'm over killing these boots at the minute, but they are just ridiculously comfy and go with everything whether its Winter or Spring they have been a great asset to my wardrobe.. a real team player.. as some would say. I don't know about any of you but I go through stages of hating my wardrobe (this happens every 6 months or so) but in reality all I have to do is organise everything into categories and slot in what's missing.

You may have noticed my iphone case in these shots, the lovely ladies at GoCustomized gifted me this with my blog logo on which I love! Head over to GoCustomized now to create your own!

On one of my most recent instagram (@lefashionfetish) posts I stated how much I don't like 'capsule wardrobes' and I stand by my word. I agree we should all have some good quality basics but I am loyal preacher of statement pieces, I treasure them in my wardrobe like they were gold. An authentic true vintage statement piece is usually very rare to find, so hold on tight to your findings! They will come in use one day.

Wishful Thinking..NYE

Photography www.ionamacleod.com

Wow, what an amazing year it has been! This year has been full of challenges for me, there have been extreme highs which came with extreme lows, its probably been the year I have learnt the most about myself. After a year of neglecting my blog due to work commitments in 2013 I picked up where I left off this year and to be honest its been the best thing I ever did, this blog brings me so much joy, the shoots, the relationships I have made, the places I've visited and most importantly it's brought me and my photographer/best friend Iona closer than ever. A friend once told me that a blog is like a plant the more light, love and water you give it the more it flourishes, and it's so true!

 I have a lot of fun things planned for 2016 so keep following me to see, I am also very excited to announce that I will be 'vlogging' in the new year (so keep your eyes peeled for that!).  Click the link below to read the full Free People blog post and find out what my NYE traditions are.

Bringing Sixties Back

Photography www.ionamacleod.com

I am wearing;
Dress- Zara
Knee high boots- Aldo
Rings- Gallard Oblaine

The Sixties - an era my parents grew up in, and certainly a decade I wish I had experienced. The sixties were when The Beatles were born, the world was full of long haired hippies and beards. It was almost like the people who were living during the 1950's coiled up like a tight spring and then suddenly exploded during the 60's which introduced a different type of fashion community, hippies!  People felt more free and liberated and this reflected on there personal style, festivals such as Glastonbury & Woodstock attracted young free spirits floating around absorbing the music around them. The sixties have been making a huge come back on the catwalks, and this makes my heart warm. Knee high boots, short boxy dresses, bohemian floaty tops and head bands, the sixties are definitely making a come back and it doesn't look like its going to be making a swift exit anytime soon.  Edie Sedgwick and Cher were definitely some of the more influential woman during that time, its woman like these that I gravitate towards for outfit inspiration, them girls know how to dress. So here you have it my 60's inspired outfit, courtesy of Zara. Me & my photographer Iona thought it would be nice to mix things up a bit and add a vintage filter to this 60's blog post incase your wondering, Enjoy!

Millie Mac Mondays

Photography- www.ionamacleod.com

Happy Monday kids, so to start the week I thought I would post this fresh, easy and simplistic outfit together I threw together. I have been browsing the new Millie Mackintosh collection for weeks now, and finally on payday I thought I would treat myself. This wrap top really is a wardrobe must-have for girls this season, its easy to pair with just about anything in your wardrobe and its great for when the weather is hot as the fabric is very breathable. The sleeve almost has a blouson effect which I love, and sets this aside from any wrap top I've seen so far! I paired this with my new Glassons denim shorts, if you haven't checked out Glassons already (check them out here) they are a cool brand from New Zealand I recently discovered and they do just about everything you need for your Summer wardrobe! Obviously my Knee highs married well with both top and short. We shot this look at about 8pm at night for this shoot, the sun glare was gorgeous though the buildings behind!

Scarves And Stiches

Two posts in one weekend - spoiled is an understatement! I love this outfit, I feel like each piece marries one another. So let me tell you the tale of how it came to be... I got the chain belt from Zara about 2 years ago, it's so popular that they tend to buy into it every season, and thank god as it's saved me on quiet a few occasions. I wore the chain belt with my dress, the star of the show, which is actually an old vintage scarf stitched together. I know, crazy right! Who by? I hear you ask. Who other than Urban Outfitters (Vintage renewal). I follow Millie Mac on just about every social media platform and was dying to find some similar suede knee highs, so off I went on mission 'Knee Highs'. Aldo, of course, won. They slipped on like they were made for my feet, I must of walked around in them in store for about ten minutes before buying them. Waterfall jackets became a popular trend this season, this one is from Zara, it's perfect for spring and very lightweight. It also drapes on the body nicely and who doesn't love a good drape! I love when you find your 'go to' item for the season, and this jacket is most definitely mine.
