She Weakens With Sequins

Evening, so to start off the week I thought I'd do a going out outfit option, as I tend to only blog casual ones. I am lucky enough to have a roof terrace at my flat in West London which is where these images were taken. This outfit would be my ideal outfit but a night out with the girls,  I love these sheer trousers, they are longer on one side and really flatter the legs making you appear taller..not that I need that being the 5'8 BFG I am. The sequin backless top was a panic buy in Topshop for a night out, I've grown to love it though, business in the front party at the back. My Leather clutch bag I have previously blogged before its from a concession called Etui Bags in Topshop, the company is owned by a really nice man who hand makes each bag, every bag is beautiful and a one of a kind. All the rings featured are from Portobello Market (practically my second home). 4 more days until Bank Holiday kids, hold on in there!

Vintage Fair- Chelsea

On Sunday 26.04.15 I came across an app called 'Elite' on my iPhone, the app has different cool events around London for you to choose from, I clicked on the Fashion tab and discovered that there was a fair on at Chelsea Town Hall right by where I live, I didn't have very high expectations but I was pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful building inside filled with old vintage classics up to 100 years old.
The building was incredible, it was build between 1906 and 1908 and was really quiet something. As soon as you stepped through the door you felt like you had stepped back in time. I've been vintage shopping plenty of times (Portobello Market, Brick Lane etc) but this fair really  blew me out the water.. people travelled from as far as Paris to come and display there stall of one of a kind Vintage goods. I came across a Parisian man who only collected Yves St Laurent vintage goods, his stall was dangerous, I could of bought every piece of clothing especially the belts. I spent hours rummaging, I even came across a 1920's embellished dress in a gorgeous purple colour, it was valued at £450 to my dismay. I walked away with two things, a 1980's embellished halter top, perfect for festivals this summer and had exquisite beading on, and a bag from Autumn Winter 1930!

Scarves And Stiches

Two posts in one weekend - spoiled is an understatement! I love this outfit, I feel like each piece marries one another. So let me tell you the tale of how it came to be... I got the chain belt from Zara about 2 years ago, it's so popular that they tend to buy into it every season, and thank god as it's saved me on quiet a few occasions. I wore the chain belt with my dress, the star of the show, which is actually an old vintage scarf stitched together. I know, crazy right! Who by? I hear you ask. Who other than Urban Outfitters (Vintage renewal). I follow Millie Mac on just about every social media platform and was dying to find some similar suede knee highs, so off I went on mission 'Knee Highs'. Aldo, of course, won. They slipped on like they were made for my feet, I must of walked around in them in store for about ten minutes before buying them. Waterfall jackets became a popular trend this season, this one is from Zara, it's perfect for spring and very lightweight. It also drapes on the body nicely and who doesn't love a good drape! I love when you find your 'go to' item for the season, and this jacket is most definitely mine.

My Shagalicious Jacket

nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

This week we shot in Kensington, the true heart of London for me, I've always dreamed of living in one of the white pillared houses there. I tend to get a love/hate reaction whenever I wear this jacket, but I love it so...(deuces).  Its From Urban Outfitters of course, where my journey began in the Fashion world. I paired it with one of my favourite lace dresses from Free People, Free People is one of my all time favourite brands, I cannot get enough of it, its price point is not cheap but I am willing to make the sacrifice to glorify my wardrobe. I love everything about the brand from the exquisite dresses to the way they market themselves, go and check out their youtube channels, they create love stories and the models wear all Free People Clothing, one of my favourites is this one here-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Coq_xeXqbTg . The amazing 70's platform heels are from ASOS, super comfy and go with just about anything retro in my wardrobe.

Le Suede Skirt- My LBD Alternative

This look would be the perfect outfit for brunching with friends, the jumper although looks heavy is nice and light yet still keeps you warm, I wear it off the shoulder but you can wear it however it suits you. H&M have really surprised me this year, I use to only go in there for basics but they've really outdone themselves, I now always go in for a browse and always come out poorer (shock). This beautiful suede skirt is from the king that is ASOS, sticking with the seventies trend but twisting it slightly so I don't look totally 'hippy-fied'. This black skirt is my equivalent to having an LBD, it goes with everything in my wardrobe, they also do a beige one so i'm waiting on pay day before I make myself poor again. The shoes are my pointed leathers I put on my Instagram account you may have seen, again from ASOS. Earlier this week I went into Primark for some bits and to put it lightly had a trolley dash which brings me to introduce the lovely sunglasses I am wearing, again incorporating the 70's chic (always).  Happy Hump Day!

Lets Spring Into Summer

Hello Hello, welcome to my first outfit post of 2015 and it feels good, it feels emotional, it feels special..glad to be back kids. I thought I'd go for a casual look for spring, I adore the slouchy look thats happening this season (its also very figure flattering). I have had my hungry eyes on these ripped thigh jeans since I attended the Urban Outfitters SS15 Press day last year which was one of my favourites, they covered the whole venue in Diptyque candles and had a really good display of the SS15 range, where I met my true Love (the jeans).  The jeans are from Waven, a brand I new Urban stocked but I was not familiar with, when I saw them appear on the new in page I bought them in a split second. I paired the Jeans with a T-shirt from Weekday, a really stunning but affordable brand for someone of my age (they have their own website or they stock on ASOS). The T-shirt is so soft it just drapes over the body and really gives the outfit that splash of colour it needs. Sunglasses and shoes are from Primark (of course) I feel like people underestimate Primark sometimes, I always find something that compliments my outfit in there, and of course its affordable. The belt is from Topshop, I felt like I needed to break the outfit in two a little and because the jeans are a loose boyfriend fit, it gives that added support. To finish the outfit I am wearing my trusted black leather Topshop handbag, that I can't live without. Hope your Sunday is as glorious as mine!

Le Jewellery Press Day AW15

So today I officially lost my jewellery press day virginity (clap clap), I have never been to a jewellery press day before, but I have attended apparel press days and thoroughly enjoyed them, they are always fun!

The press day was held by the PR company CMJ (please visit their website if you haven't already! at www.cmj-media.com) who specialise in jewellery and watches. They kindly invited me to their AW15 press day held at Kettners in Soho, London. The venue had a great character to it, and the room was intimate but perfect for the intricate jewellery brands they were representing. In total there were around 15 different brands, I was greeted by the team who offered me luxury canapés and offered me a chance to enter a competition where you could win a beautiful bracelet by a brand called Marco Bicego. I was then given a tour of the brands by a lovely girl called Kate, who gave me information on where each brand got their inspiration for each collection. The brands ranged from lower price points right up until bridal ranges where the price points were obviously a lot higher.

There were a few brands that caught my eye and fell into a price point that was suitable for me (please see images below), all the jewellery showcased was real gold and silver, this attracted me the most as I always wear real silver, (fake metals make your fingers goes green! girls I'm sure you can relate!). To finish up I was given a beautiful goodie bag with some items in it which contained jewellery from one of the brands that I loved which was exiting (Sif Jakobs). The goodie bad also had this 'bespoke' cookie in the shape of an Autumn leaf with icing on (sounds crazy I know!) but seriously it was the coolest thing..ever.

Sif Jakobs (image 1 and 2)- Instagram name- @sifjakobsjewellery -A fashion forward stunning range for AW15, a brand I would definitely invest in, the spiked earrings were a real eye catcher, in fact one of the PR ladies was wearing a pair and they looked gorgeous. The two piece ring set was another favourite of mine, made from two silver rings with 'look a like' diamonds encrusted into them, both rings were held together by a delicate chain..love love love!

Image 3: this was one of the first brands I noticed when I walked in, they use 'sting ray leather' its a type of buffed leather apparently, it looks really cool actually and it glimmered in the light.

Image 4: I absolutely fell in love with this bracelet, its shaped so it fits your wrist like a glove! I don't usually wear bracelets but this one caught my eye. The snake ring was definitely a heart string puller, I love rings, you'll always find me wondering the markets of Portobello scouting out new silver rings.
