Damsel in Distressed Denim

Wow is it nearly July! how fast has this year gone. So I've slowly built this outfit over the last couple of months as I've collected different pieces for my wardrobe. These gorgeous distressed denim jeans from Waven are perfect when worn with a heel. They are comfortable and practical, they are also loose fitting so perfect for Summer when its hot! The top was actually bought off eBay but its from Karen Millen, heavy embellishments this season have really been a focal point for me Im drawn to them in every store I go into at the moment its like my subconscious is hungry for more! And finally the star of the show..this suede tasseled bag. This stunning suede bag is from Accessorize, I was pleasantly surprised at my most recent visit to the new store on Oxford Circus the other week, there are a lot of treasures in there which I will be rushing in to grab on pay day. The swimwear/jewellery are all on point this season, displaying some key boho pieces for your wardrobe and some really stunning details on just about everything (who doesn't love a good bit of detail). The whole store is perfect for any festival attire if your in need, its actually dangerous territory at the moment so be prepared to leave heavy handed!

Be Free

Be free, I dedicate this post to Free People. Free People as mentioned previously in other posts is honestly a brand close to my heart, if I could I would shop on it all day. I love the clothes, how they market themselves and the models they use for their studio/photo shoots. I really am a firm believer that each brand has its own personality, and Free People is definitely one of them. This Jumpsuit I bought a few months ago, but its still in stock (please see link below).

Its really comfy and looks great on, we shot this look in South Kensington where the beautiful white buildings really made the colour of this jumpsuit stand out. I could wear this outfit day or night and it looks amazing in heels or flats.

Ready Set Glow! - Wish list

So as Summer creeps in, Ive started to collate a few cult products that I feel would slot nicely into my beauty routine.  The art of make-up can only be perfected (in my eyes) with true skin preparation, have you ever noticed the difference when you cleanse, tone and moisturise before applying primer/foundation to your skin - dreamy. So first up..

Magnitone-
The only thing I can describe this as, is that its a toothbrush for your face. I use this by cleansing my face first with warm water, and then adding my cleanser onto my face and then slowly working the Magnitone around my face, the device uses pulsations there are 2 settings one for deep cleaning which I use and one for sensitive mode which is good and makes the product versatile. The device  I use is the the 'Lucid' Magnitone which is made by Pixie Lott. The devise is advertised to improve your skin in 7 days giving you softer, clearer, brighter skin and to be honest I couldn't agree more, my skin loves it. Its easy, quick and effective and it only retails at £69.99 which is extremely reasonable. Another reason why I love the Magnitone is that I can use it in the shower in the morning and its wireless so I can travel it!

If you haven't checked out Illamasqua already- go now. I was introduced to the brand by my lovely friend who is a make-up artist. We were wondering around the bottom floor of Selfridges in London when I suddenly became a kid in a candy store after discovering the brand. It just so happened that day that I was stalking Millie Mac and wanted to buy some products to make me 'glow'. I was recommended this Sculpting Powder, and I was blown away. There are two sections, one for creating shadows and one for highlighting the cheek bones. I like to try before I buy, which is exactly what I did and it was an instant purchase. I think this will be a permanent product in my make-up bag going forward, I can't live without it!

Estee Lauder hands down has the best eye make-up remover. I have to be honest, my least favourite part about make up is having to remove it, this product makes it quick and easy. I discovered this when I was about 14 and my friends mum let us use hers to take our make-up off whenever we had a sleep over! It removes long wearing make-up and leaves your skin feeling amazing. It contains Aloe Vera which helps calms and soothes the skin, leaving it soft and supple.

Nars and me have had a long loyal relationship, since my days at working in Space NK. This Illuminator is the dream. The best thing about this product is that is soo versatile, you can mix it into your foundation to give yourself that glow for summer or you can use it as a cheek bone highlighter, OR you can even use it on your collar bones/shoulders when you go to festivals.

Scarves And Stiches

Two posts in one weekend - spoiled is an understatement! I love this outfit, I feel like each piece marries one another. So let me tell you the tale of how it came to be... I got the chain belt from Zara about 2 years ago, it's so popular that they tend to buy into it every season, and thank god as it's saved me on quiet a few occasions. I wore the chain belt with my dress, the star of the show, which is actually an old vintage scarf stitched together. I know, crazy right! Who by? I hear you ask. Who other than Urban Outfitters (Vintage renewal). I follow Millie Mac on just about every social media platform and was dying to find some similar suede knee highs, so off I went on mission 'Knee Highs'. Aldo, of course, won. They slipped on like they were made for my feet, I must of walked around in them in store for about ten minutes before buying them. Waterfall jackets became a popular trend this season, this one is from Zara, it's perfect for spring and very lightweight. It also drapes on the body nicely and who doesn't love a good drape! I love when you find your 'go to' item for the season, and this jacket is most definitely mine.
