Flash Me Your Flares

Happy Bank Holiday weekend guys! I always just assume its going to be sunny in London on a bank holiday, never the less, let the drinking commence! but firstly... Zara- probably my favourite retailer this year to date, they have really done their homework with the SS15 catwalks, well done Zara.. you get a gold star and a jelly baby. I walked into the Bond Street flagship store to find a sea of suede, tassels, creams, whites, textures, coords and many other beautiful pieces. Without realising it the whole outfit was shot head to toe in Zara clothing, Keano.
Flares are practically their own trend this season, they are extremely flattering if your tall but don't seem to work if your not that blessed with height. I have 3 pairs now and intend on growing my small collection in my wardrobe. Zara came up with the idea of making one of their patterned flares into a coord (risky business) but in fact the top and the trousers marry each other very well. I had a lot of fun shooting this outfit, we found an adorable court yard in Chelsea, where we decided to shoot. The beautiful suede tasseled jacket I bought from Zara over christmas, its perfect for spring the suede is fairly thin so its not over bearing when you wear it on a hot spring day. Have a good weekend, next post will be up on Monday see you then!

Happy blogging x

Vintage Fair- Chelsea

On Sunday 26.04.15 I came across an app called 'Elite' on my iPhone, the app has different cool events around London for you to choose from, I clicked on the Fashion tab and discovered that there was a fair on at Chelsea Town Hall right by where I live, I didn't have very high expectations but I was pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful building inside filled with old vintage classics up to 100 years old.
The building was incredible, it was build between 1906 and 1908 and was really quiet something. As soon as you stepped through the door you felt like you had stepped back in time. I've been vintage shopping plenty of times (Portobello Market, Brick Lane etc) but this fair really  blew me out the water.. people travelled from as far as Paris to come and display there stall of one of a kind Vintage goods. I came across a Parisian man who only collected Yves St Laurent vintage goods, his stall was dangerous, I could of bought every piece of clothing especially the belts. I spent hours rummaging, I even came across a 1920's embellished dress in a gorgeous purple colour, it was valued at £450 to my dismay. I walked away with two things, a 1980's embellished halter top, perfect for festivals this summer and had exquisite beading on, and a bag from Autumn Winter 1930!

Scarves And Stiches

Two posts in one weekend - spoiled is an understatement! I love this outfit, I feel like each piece marries one another. So let me tell you the tale of how it came to be... I got the chain belt from Zara about 2 years ago, it's so popular that they tend to buy into it every season, and thank god as it's saved me on quiet a few occasions. I wore the chain belt with my dress, the star of the show, which is actually an old vintage scarf stitched together. I know, crazy right! Who by? I hear you ask. Who other than Urban Outfitters (Vintage renewal). I follow Millie Mac on just about every social media platform and was dying to find some similar suede knee highs, so off I went on mission 'Knee Highs'. Aldo, of course, won. They slipped on like they were made for my feet, I must of walked around in them in store for about ten minutes before buying them. Waterfall jackets became a popular trend this season, this one is from Zara, it's perfect for spring and very lightweight. It also drapes on the body nicely and who doesn't love a good drape! I love when you find your 'go to' item for the season, and this jacket is most definitely mine.
