So I'm super excited to announce my most recent collaboration with Peekaboo Vintage Clothing. Over the coming weeks I will be posting 5 of my favourite festival outfits for the Summer.
Last Thursday Peekaboo opened their doors to me and allowed me to enter their wonderful office of beautiful chaos. It was a bloggers dream to say the least.. clothes e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e!  I first discovered the brand in Topshop Oxford Circus (bottom floor) where all the other concessions are. I absolutely love vintage shopping but I have to be in the right frame of mind to do it, its a long hard task and you have to dedicate a whole Sunday to give time to mooch from store to store, however the reward is amazing when you find some true vintage gems. With Peekaboo Vintage they do all the hard work for you, and every piece is one of a kind so if I see something I like its an instant purchase (which also makes it dangerous!).

So first up, this stunning sequin dress. The detail on this piece is exquisite. My favourite part of the dress is definitely the embellished choker around the neck. I also love the wavy hem around the bottom of the dress, it really gives it shape and the sequinned tassels gives the dress movement which was captured well on camera!

Their Festival range will hit down on the 11th of June, where they are holding a Glastonbury Festival pop up shop so go check them out! They stock on ASOS Market Place and In Topshop Oxford Circus.

Ready Set Glow! - Wish list

So as Summer creeps in, Ive started to collate a few cult products that I feel would slot nicely into my beauty routine.  The art of make-up can only be perfected (in my eyes) with true skin preparation, have you ever noticed the difference when you cleanse, tone and moisturise before applying primer/foundation to your skin - dreamy. So first up..

Magnitone-
The only thing I can describe this as, is that its a toothbrush for your face. I use this by cleansing my face first with warm water, and then adding my cleanser onto my face and then slowly working the Magnitone around my face, the device uses pulsations there are 2 settings one for deep cleaning which I use and one for sensitive mode which is good and makes the product versatile. The device  I use is the the 'Lucid' Magnitone which is made by Pixie Lott. The devise is advertised to improve your skin in 7 days giving you softer, clearer, brighter skin and to be honest I couldn't agree more, my skin loves it. Its easy, quick and effective and it only retails at £69.99 which is extremely reasonable. Another reason why I love the Magnitone is that I can use it in the shower in the morning and its wireless so I can travel it!

If you haven't checked out Illamasqua already- go now. I was introduced to the brand by my lovely friend who is a make-up artist. We were wondering around the bottom floor of Selfridges in London when I suddenly became a kid in a candy store after discovering the brand. It just so happened that day that I was stalking Millie Mac and wanted to buy some products to make me 'glow'. I was recommended this Sculpting Powder, and I was blown away. There are two sections, one for creating shadows and one for highlighting the cheek bones. I like to try before I buy, which is exactly what I did and it was an instant purchase. I think this will be a permanent product in my make-up bag going forward, I can't live without it!

Estee Lauder hands down has the best eye make-up remover. I have to be honest, my least favourite part about make up is having to remove it, this product makes it quick and easy. I discovered this when I was about 14 and my friends mum let us use hers to take our make-up off whenever we had a sleep over! It removes long wearing make-up and leaves your skin feeling amazing. It contains Aloe Vera which helps calms and soothes the skin, leaving it soft and supple.

Nars and me have had a long loyal relationship, since my days at working in Space NK. This Illuminator is the dream. The best thing about this product is that is soo versatile, you can mix it into your foundation to give yourself that glow for summer or you can use it as a cheek bone highlighter, OR you can even use it on your collar bones/shoulders when you go to festivals.

That Bohemian Flare

Monday- we meet again. I thought I would start the week with these vibrant Flares from Zara. These caught my attention as soon as I walked into the store. The Print is gorgeous and paired with a slouchy white top its the perfect outfit whether the sun is out or not. The reason why I like these flares are because they are wide through out the length of the trouser leg, setting them aside from every other flare which tends to hug the thighs the higher up the leg and then flare out at the bottom. The earings are from Topshop, the purple stone in the earings gives the outfit that little fleck of colour as the outfit is quiet bottom heavy in colour with the printed trouser. The trousers are quiet long so I put on my trusted pair of seventies platforms from ASOS.

Denim Days

Double denim use to be a crime, now a days people are more adventurous with their style and are willing to try new things. What I like about denim is that you can wear it during any season of the year, styled correctly. The patch work skirt is really unusual and the light denim patch on the back blends in well with the washed blue denim shirt. Both skirt and Top are from Zara, shock. Don't worry I have some exciting brands I am looking to show case for future outfit posts. This was by far the comfiest outfit I have posted to date, the shirt is really good quality. Now that we are transitioning from Spring to Summer, outfit choices are becoming more challenging because you never know when its safe to get your legs out! I paired the outfit with my gorgeous Aldo Knee high slouchy suede boots, add a handbag of your choice and your good to go!

Orange Is The New Black

Well I don't know about you but the weekend has wiped me out! So I thought I'd throw a nice casual outfit on the blog today, something simple, comfy, and easy to put together. Orange is the Marmite of the colour spectrum, to me anyway. I don't feel like I've ever really appreciated it until now, styled correctly orange can really make (or break) an outfit. I have to admit when styling an outfit, orange has never been top of my priority list but for some reason this top has converted me, I can now confidently say I am a lover for orange. The top is from ASOS who also stock it in black, I have both colours because I love it so much and its just so dam versatile. I've paired the orange wrap top with a ripped mom jean I purchased from a vintage store last year, I watched a youtube video on how to rip your own jeans, and there I was with a kitchen knife hacking away at my newly purchased vintage find. The jean is quiet loose fitting but because the top is so low cut it needed toning down a little. To break the outfit up I've added in my leather Topshop belt with a silver buckle, the bag is also Topshop and adds texture to the outfit, its half smooth leather and half suede with a snake skin affect on it. The chunky heel is from Urban Outfitters from last year, I've had them a while now but they just don't seem to age...The triangle bra under my orange top is from ASOS, its a beautiful set, you can't really see it from the images so I've popped an image of the set below for you to see!

Toying With Tassels

Happy Bank Holiday! So I've wanted to blog a playsuit for quiet some time now, I was browsing ASOS for a bank holiday outfit and came across this beautiful 'Vintage look' playsuit, its actually ASOS own buy but I fell head over heels for it and purchased it in seconds. This was by far the most fun outfit I've shot to date, the movement of the tassels captured really well on camera. I paired this playsuit with my Topshop suede biker boot, which kept selling out and I waited for weeks checking every day for them to come back into stock! But I finally I managed to get hold of a pair. You can also dress this up with heels, like I did for my bank holiday night out, the outfit is extremely versatile which is why I love it so much. The deep V neck line is obviously my favourite part of the playsuit, with long sleeves its fairly covered up so I think it needs that plunge to really make the playsuit pop.  I hope your day off is as glorious and as sunny as mine is!

Happy blogging,

Love A x

Flash Me Your Flares

Happy Bank Holiday weekend guys! I always just assume its going to be sunny in London on a bank holiday, never the less, let the drinking commence! but firstly... Zara- probably my favourite retailer this year to date, they have really done their homework with the SS15 catwalks, well done Zara.. you get a gold star and a jelly baby. I walked into the Bond Street flagship store to find a sea of suede, tassels, creams, whites, textures, coords and many other beautiful pieces. Without realising it the whole outfit was shot head to toe in Zara clothing, Keano.
Flares are practically their own trend this season, they are extremely flattering if your tall but don't seem to work if your not that blessed with height. I have 3 pairs now and intend on growing my small collection in my wardrobe. Zara came up with the idea of making one of their patterned flares into a coord (risky business) but in fact the top and the trousers marry each other very well. I had a lot of fun shooting this outfit, we found an adorable court yard in Chelsea, where we decided to shoot. The beautiful suede tasseled jacket I bought from Zara over christmas, its perfect for spring the suede is fairly thin so its not over bearing when you wear it on a hot spring day. Have a good weekend, next post will be up on Monday see you then!

Happy blogging x
